HOW TO CHANGE THE START BUTTON NAME IN WINDOWS XP..??



     Now we will see how to change the Start button name in Windows XP.

1. If you want to restore your Start button Name to Default, later Copy the Explorer.exe file from Windows folder in System Drive to any other location like Desktop.2. Open Hex editor like Resources Hacker.



2. Next go to File and Click on the Open. Then select Explorer.exe file from where you have copied previously.

3. Expand the String Table and then Double Click on the 37 and Select the 1033 on the Left side panel."



4. In the Right side you will find the word "start". Now you have to Replace that "start" with your desired name. And click on Compile Script. NOTE: THE NAME SHOULD BE LESS THAN 5 CHARACTERS. 5. Save the File and Exit. Now Rename this explorer.exe  to explorer1.exe and put this on Windows Folder in System Drive. You should be careful don't replace the default explorer.exe

6. Now we have to edit Registry. Got to Run and type "regedit" with out quotes.7. Now in the Right side pane Expand the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" and then Software ---> Microsoft ---> Windows NT ---> Current Version --> Winlogon. Then Select and Double click the Shell option in the Right side pane.

8. Here you have to mention the name explorer1.exe and click on OK.9. Close the Registry Editor and Reboot System Once.
